Google Apps For Your Domain To Be Limited To 10 Users After May 10th: Sign Up Now!

Posted by Jason Lee in "Android News" @ 10:00 PM

"If you've even briefly considered setting up your own domain with Google Apps, consider that after May 10, any new Apps "Standard Edition" sign-ups are limited to 10 users, requiring a Business Edition purchase to go beyond that limit."

That's right, after May 10th you'll have to pony up for the Business Edition of Google Apps for your domain if you plan on having more than 10 people hanging around. I've only once kinda thought about transferring my domain to Google Apps only to decide that I really don't have any problems with having a gmail.com address as everything I do is for personal use. Also fewer eggs in the same basket and all. Though, any of you even considering the switch might wanna take the plunge now to avoid the 10 user cap. Anyone out there a Google Apps user or looking to switch?

Google Updates Android Gmail App: Get it from the Market Now

Posted by Jason Lee in "Android Software" @ 03:00 PM

"We just released a new version of the Gmail app in Android Market, so Gmail updates aren't tied to Android version releases anymore. Now you can get new Gmail stuff faster without having to wait for system updates. To start you off, we've improved message replies, access to quoted text, and more."

There are many things to love about Android. One of the greatest things is Google's ability to update the software that shipped with your device without a complete system update. Today they've done just that with the native Gmail app. For those of us running Froyo, the latest update brings cool new features like the floating message action bar and finally the ability to select and copy text! No longer will I have to launch gmail.com just to copy an email address or phone number out of a message. So far I am really liking this update. How is it treating you guys?
